Looking back on the highlights of 2021

It’s been a long year for most across the globe and although there were some ups and downs, there were certainly some noteworthy achievements to celebrate. From award wins to expansion (and even making it back to face-to-face events!), we take a look at some of our highlights from 2021.

Awards and Recognition

KeyPay was honoured to be recognised at the forefront of innovation across a number of industries and associations in 2021. Notably, KeyPay was celebrated as a payroll winner in HRD Australia’s 5-star HR Software 2021 awards. The Australian Payroll Association also ranked KeyPay as the #1 most used payroll system in the 2021 Payroll Benchmarking Report and in the top 3 payroll vendors in multiple industries!

Region expansion: Hello Malaysia!

While we were busy winning awards, we were also working hard to deliver KeyPay in another new region. In July 2021, we officially launched in Malaysia, taking the global KeyPay offering to 5 regions! By continuing to expand KeyPay’s global reach, we’re adding even more value for our partners and customers to grow and transform their businesses.

Product wins

Of course the product team has been working on more than just building KeyPay for Malaysia; they’ve also been enhancing KeyPay for all of our current regions as well! 2021 saw updates to some favourite features like the Document Acknowledgement Report, and also the release of some highly requested features, like Roster Warnings! To top off the product highlights, the team also released a number of new integrations including Zoho Books, Xero and Freshbooks! You asked and the team seriously delivered. 

Face-to-face events

After nearly 2 years of virtual events, the KeyPay team were finally able to get back to in-person events! Our wonderful UK team represented KeyPay at the AccountingWEB Live Expo in Coventry to help accounting and finance professionals streamline their operations with our innovative solutions. We can’t wait to get back to more networking in 2022 and already have some great events in our calendar!

Giving back to the community

This year, some of our incredible KeyPay team members took part in the Ride500 to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia and Starlight Children's Foundation Australia. They ended up smashing it out of the park, cycling over 2700 km between the team! They also exceeded their initial fundraiser goal of $2000 to raise a whopping $5668 donated across both charities.

We’re delighted that this donation was put toward brightening the lives of sick children, teenagers and their families, as well as funding life-saving cancer research and prevention programs.
